14th Annual College Radio Day presents “35000 Watts” documentary at Texas State

World College Radio Day lands on the first Friday of October. This year, we celebrate the nationally recognized day on Oct. 4th. Along with the 24-hour radio broadcast on KTSW 89.9-FM this Friday the grand finale will include a screening of “35000 Watts”, a documentary about how this medium has affected musicians and students alike, on Oct. 12th in Evan’s Auditorium at 7 p.m.

Monkeying around in Arashiyama - SJMC Japan

In Kyoto, a favorite tourist attraction is Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama where over 120 macaque monkeys native to Mount Arashiyama roam freely among humans.


Although the monkeys are considered wild, they are comfortable in the presence of humans and are excited to visit with others. The entrance fee to the monkey park is 600 JPY (about $4 USD).

Tokyo drift: adventures in Kamakura - SJMC Japan

Day four of the SJMC Japan trip saw the team drifting quite a bit: we ventured away from Tokyo and the team branched off into smaller groups to spend the day in various parts of the city.
